【摘要】:Vaporpressureisaveryimportantphysicalpropertyofvolatileliquids.Thevaporpressureofgasolineandgasoline-oxygenateblendsisregulatedbyvariousgovernmentagencies.Specificationsforvolatilepetroleumproductsgenerallyincludevaporpressurelimitstoensureproductsofsuitablevolatilityperformance.ThistestmethodismoreprecisethanTestMethodD4953,usesasmallsamplesize(1to10mL),andrequiresabout7mintocompletethetest.1.1Thistestmethodcoverstheuseofautomatedvaporpressureinstrumentstodeterminethetotalvaporpressureexertedinvacuumbyair-containing,volatile,liquidpetroleumproducts.Thistestmethodissuitablefortestingsampleswithboilingpointsabove0176;C(32176;F)thatexertavaporpressurebetween7and130kPa(1.0and18.6psi)at37.8176;C(100176;F)atavapor-to-liquidratioof4:1.Measurementsaremadeonliquidsamplesizesintherangefrom1to10mL.Noaccountismadefordissolvedwaterinthesample.Note1-Samplescanalsobetestedatothervapor-to-liquidratios,temperatures,andpressures,buttheprecisionandbiasstatementsneednotapply.Note2-Theinterlaboratorystudiesconductedin1988,1991,and2003todeterminetheprecisionstatementsinTestMethodD5191didnotincludeanycrudeoilinthesamplesets.TestMethodD6377,aswellasIP481,havebeenshowntobesuitableforvaporpressuremeasurementsofcrudeoils.1.1.1Somegasoline-oxygenateblendsmayshowahazewhencooledto0to1176;C.Ifahazeisobservedin8.5,itshallbeindicatedinthereportingofresults.Theprecisionandbiasstatementsforhazysampleshavenotbeendetermined(seeNote14).1.2Thistestmethodissuitableforcalculationofthedryvaporpressureequivalent(DVPE)ofgasolineandgasoline-oxygenateblendsbymeansofacorrelationequation(seeEqn.1in14.2).ThecalculatedDVPEverycloselyapproximatesthedryvaporpressurethatwouldbeobtainedonthesamematerialwhentestedbyTestMethodD4953.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsareregardedasstandard.Theinch-poundunitsgiveninparenthesesareprovidedforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecificsafetywarningstatements,see7.2through7.8.
